Helen, GA -- Food and wine aficionados take note, The Lodge at Smithgall Woods, a private-estate-turned-lodge tucked away on a 5,600-acre Heritage Preserve in the North Georgia mountains, will be the secluded setting for the second annual “Wine Weekends In the Woods” series January 17-19, 24-26 & 31- February 2, 2003.   From the popular but hard to get cult wines of California to signature Italian wines and new offerings from Australia, each weekend will highlight select wines from around the world paired with authentic cuisine indigenous to each region.  Atlanta’s foremost wine experts will preside over each weekend, adding an educational and informative component.
